Big Night tells the story of two brothers, Primo and Secondo, who have come to the US to start an Italian restaurant, and are on the verge of losing it. Primo (Tony Shalhoub) is a prickly genius chef who clashes with Secondo (Stanley Tucci) the pragmatic businessman, who has to deal with customers who send back Primo's genius and ask for a side of spaghetti and meatballs instead. Secondo is helped by Pascal (Ian Holm), the owner of the successful Italian restaurant across the street, who recognizes great food but knows that his customers can't tell the difference. When Pascal arranges for Louis Prima and his band to come to the struggling restaurant, Primo and Secondo must put together a meal grand enough to be the talk of the town and save the restaurant. Also, there are love triangles, a great bread-listening scene, an actual omelet cooked on film, and Marc Anthony.
